Safety

 

At Wide Open Slashing Ltd. We are proud to be leaders in safety. We ensure all of our employees have been properly orientated through our new hire safety program. This ensures that all employees have a solid understanding of safe work procedures and accident prevention.  All employees must be familiar with the Wide Open Slashing Ltd. safety manual prior to working in the field. Safety meetings are preformed daily to ensure that hazards are identified prior to starting a job. hazard identification prevents most incidents from occurring.

 

In addition to our safety orientation training, all employees must have current industry standard tickets.

 

These include but are not limited to:

 

• WHMIS

• H2S Alive

• Enform or BC certified fallers

• Chainsaw Safety

• ATV course

• Snowmobile course

• First Aid

 

Additional tickets and training are given when the job demands.

 

Wide open slashing is proud to have received the following safety awards:
